Responsible for patient check-out, verifying necessary information like insurance, address, etc and entering new patient information into computer.
Photocopying insurance and license and scanning into patient's EMR as needed.
Ensuring that proper authorization or referral is collected from each patient.
Verifying insurance coverage and deductibles.
Creates daily bank deposits, prepares change envelope and credit card transaction receipts, reconciles petty cash.
Enters charges and payments, refunds as appropriate.
Collects any outstanding balances, co-pays or deductibles.
Answering phones and emails to schedule appointments, screen calls and take messages.
Places telephone calls to no-show appointments.
Front desk receptionist will also be responsible for talking to patients about certain skin care products and being familiar with various reward programs.
Experience preferred but not required.
